After success of PM2 & PM3 LCD RF Power Meter Kits, with hundreds of users globally, I wanted to implement small & big changes opted by the radio amateurs.

Following added to PM3A:

1.   LCD now mounts on CPU Board or may be Remote

2.   Encoder or Push Button Key Boards

3.   Sensor Board is now remote

4.   Support for AD8307 SMT (SMT Sensor Board)

5.   Data output at RS232 Levels by using a MAX232.

6.   Precession 2.5V reference added.

7.   SMT support for AD8307 by way of providing a a      specially designed Sensor PCB supporting AD8307 SOIC 8. (Not part of present kit)

8.  LCD Back-Light may now be turned off to save power.

Following remain same as good old PM3:

1. Data Logger output supported by OZ8JYL Windows Software and G4HFQ Polar Plot Software

2.   Basic Schematic is almost same with change in labels and addition of few RFCs & Capacitors.

3.  FRC 16 pin connector for CPU Board and R/A 16FRC supplied for remote LCD mounting. A Female-to-Female, 30cm long, 16-wire ribbon cable is supplied for remote LCD mounting.

4.  DIP Switches for changing LCD Back Light Forward/Reverse Polarity.

5.  Works well with G4HFQ "Polar Plot" Software

Now all kits & assembled are supplied with a Free Powder coated metal case for PM3A & Sensor board. $3 for extra postage added due to weight of metal cases.
